Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had a camera in my hand. From a Polaroid to a disposable – I loved taking pictures of everything and anything. Digging through boxes and boxes of photos I’ve taken over the years, transports me back to that time.
Even photos I’ve completely forgotten about. Flipping to a page of an album I haven’t opened in 5 plus years, I came across a few that made me pause. These few photos reminded me why I started down the path of photography. The fact is I guess, I was always on the path but never forged ahead my own.
Now, equipped with new gear thanks to my amazing husband (and lots of dropped hints), I’ll be forging that path. Capturing memories for others so they themselves can look back and light up that memory in the corner of their mind they forgot about, until they glance at a picture that I’ve taken.
In the end...
I’m excited to continue learning, honing skills, and making friendships along the way.
